Internet providers in Utah

Residents of the Beehive State can choose from various providers offering fast internet speeds. Those located near the capital city have the most options. Recently, Utah has become a testing ground for tech companies, which means residents have access to more technology-related services.
Utah Utes and residents of Provo may be able to access Google Fiber, a new high-speed Gigabit connection. Only 16 other cities currently have access to Google Fiber. Veracity Networks offers internet speeds of up to 10 Gbps, which translates to a nearly unheard of 10,000Mbps. Veracity operates primarily in the Salt Lake City, Provo and Ogden areas. Additionally, Xfinity delivers a fiber network to more than 80 Utah communities, mainly in the 901 area code.
If you live near Arches National Park or Moab, you may consider CenturyLink, Inc., which provides coverage for areas in the middle of the state and for St. George in the south. Additionally, Viasat offers satellite internet.
Understanding options available through each provider can help you find fast internet in Utah. Below is a breakdown of services available from Utah’s internet providers.

Still in early stages, Google Fiber currently operates only in small areas of Utah, in central Salt Lake City and Provo. Google’s fiber plans have no data caps and allow you to stream on up to 10 devices at once. Google requires no contract or Wi-Fi rental fee.

Veracity Networks

Veracity Networks offers speeds of up to 10 Gbps. However, these speeds are only available with the Utopia fiber network. A 10Gbps plan costs $199.99 per month. Veracity also offers a 1Gbps plan at $54.99 per month and a 250Mbps plan that costs $34.99 per month.
If you cannot access the Utopia Fiber Network, Veracity Networks likely does not offer you the fastest available speeds.

After that period, plans cost $70 to $200 per month.
Viasat requires no long-term contract and has a two-year price-lock guarantee on its standard prices.
