CenturyLink offers internet packages to fit various needs and budgets. CenturyLink’s “Price for Life” offer applies to most of its fiber-optic internet plans. New customers who sign up for paperless billing can receive the fastest speed available in their location, up to 100Mbps, for $49 per month. If you cancel paperless billing, your rate increases to the current standard cost. According to CenturyLink, the Price for Life rate is applicable for the entire life of your plan, unlike promotions from other companies, which often expire after the first year.

The Price for Life plan is available in four speeds, depending on location: 12Mbps, 20Mbps, 40Mbps and 100Mbps. With a 12Mbps connection, you can download 500 megabytes (MB) in five minutes. With a 100Mbps plan, the same download takes about 40 seconds. Faster speeds also make streaming smoother.

Fiber Gigabit

The fastest package CenturyLink offers is the Fiber Gigabit plan, which includes a maximum download speed of 940Mbps with a wired connection. This speed allows users to download 500 MB in four seconds.

The Fiber Gigabit plan is the highest-tier package and costs $65 per month. This package allows several high-bandwidth users to connect simultaneously, making it an excellent internet plan for large families. The package also includes one free modem rental, which costs up to $15 per month, or $150 to purchase. Additionally, Fiber Gigabit customers qualify for free installation. These prices do not include taxes or fees.
